LINS Valve has manufactured valves in Taichung, Taiwan since 1969, and has supplied OEM and private label programmes to international brands for decades. Castings are poured in our own foundry, machined, assembled and pressure tested on one site, so material traceability starts at the melt rather than at a supplier's gate. Core product is the SS316 stainless steel ball valve in two-piece, three-piece, flanged and wafer configurations. The plant holds ISO 9001:2015 and supplies products certified to CSA, ASSE, WRAS and UL requirements.

What is made in-house

The distinction that matters most in valve sourcing is rarely on a website: whether the supplier melts its own castings or buys them. Our foundry has operated on site since 1983.

Two of those lines are worth expanding, because buyers ask about them and few suppliers can answer.

Cleaning is a routed process step, not a final wipe. Ultrasonic cleaning sits between machining and assembly, which is the only position where it removes swarf before the body is closed up. Cleaning after assembly leaves debris inside the cavity. This matters for closed-loop cooling and for any system where the narrowest downstream passage is small.

Test capacity is sized to production, not to a sample. API 598 defines the shell and seat test but sets no sampling rate, so "tested per API 598" is compatible with either. Fifty test positions is what allows testing to sit inline with assembly.

Inspection and quality system

The plant is certified to ISO 9001:2015, with document control, work instructions at the station under revision control, control plans with SPC applied to key characteristics, and internal audits with tracked corrective actions.

Measurement instruments are on a scheduled calibration plan, traceable to national standards through TAF-accredited laboratories. The quality laboratory holds:

Certification scope varies by product family, so ask for the certificate and listing number for the specific model you are qualifying, and check it against the issuing body's register.

How an OEM programme runs

  1. Enquiry. Send the drawing or the sample, the fluid, the pressure and temperature envelope, the end connection, the certification the finished product must carry, and the annual quantity.
  2. Feasibility and quotation. We confirm whether the geometry suits our casting and machining route, whether new tooling is required, and what that means for lead time.
  3. Sample. Prototype or first article, with dimensional report and material certification.
  4. Qualification. Your inspection, your testing, and where required a plant audit. We can supply melt records, examination records and calibration registers.
  5. Production. Against a control plan agreed at qualification, with change notification if anything in it moves.

Capacity

Current output on stainless three-piece ball valves runs at approximately 20,000 units per month. Capacity headroom, rather than unit price, is usually what determines whether a supplier can carry a programme through its second and third year, so it is worth asking about early and worth asking per product family rather than plant-wide.

LINS Valve manufactures under OEM and private label arrangements for international brands, including Honeywell, WATTS, Zurn Elkay, NIBCO, CRANE and Simmons. Since 2023 we have supplied SS316 ball valves into data centre liquid cooling programmes in the United States.

Frequently asked questions

Do you melt your own castings or buy them?
We melt our own. The foundry has operated on site since 1983 and runs three high-frequency induction furnaces. Material records begin at the melt, inside the same quality system that ships the valve, which means a defect found in the field can be traced to a specific pour rather than to a shipment.
Is every valve pressure tested, or a sample?
Testing is sized to run inline with assembly. The plant holds 50 hydrostatic and pneumatic test positions, with rigs rated to 10,000 psi, which is well above the pressure at which a Class 150 or 1000 WOG valve is tested. The headroom allows an elevated customer-specified test to run on the same line rather than being subcontracted.
What certifications do you hold?

Scope varies by product family. Can you supply material test reports and traceability?
Yes. Material certification to EN 10204 3.1 is available, with heat numbers traceable to the specific casting. Positive material identification on finished bodies is available on request, which confirms CF8M rather than CF8 on the part itself rather than on paper.
Will you make valves to our drawing and our brand?
Yes. OEM and private label programmes are the larger part of what the plant does. Send the drawing, the service conditions, the required certification and the annual quantity, and we will confirm feasibility and tooling requirements before quoting.
What size range do you cover in stainless ball valves?
Threaded two-piece and three-piece bodies run 1/4 inch to 2 inch at 1000 WOG, full port, in SS316 or SS304. Flanged bodies run 1/2 inch to 4 inch at 150 LB, and wafer bodies 1/2 inch to 4 inch at PN16. OEM programmes regularly run outside the catalogue range, including socket weld, butt weld and Tri-Clamp connections on the three-piece body.
